That's Not On For Old Flashy

Enjoying Royal Flash, the 2nd book of the Flashman series. Great lashings of bawdy and poltroonish adventures for all, as the fictional Flashman is inserted into real world events. Another great lesson in European history.

It has given me a desire to become the Minister of Education, and replace all history textbooks with the Flashman series. Japan thinks it has a history textbook problem now. Wait'll they get a load of me.

Hmmm. Methinks the books would work equal wonders in the moral instruction classes.

Gray just watched Charlie Chaplin's amazing the Great Dictator. (Herring and Garbage) That would make an excellent replacement text for many dull tomes of 20th European History.

I can't believe I'm being asked by your spam bot to type out "hogslgy" with a straight face. (Well, perhaps it doesn't mind so much about the straight face part.)

"hogslgy"? Wow. Some people have all the luck. I got stuck with "yrpiotyw".

What is it with characters who have "flash" in their names? E.g., The Flash... Flash Gordon... Flashman... Grandmaster Flash... Need I go on? I think if you changed your name to Grandminister Edumaflashimatron before the election you would get more votes.

...hello, Aquaman. [Note to self: Don't talk to Aquaman. All the other heroes shun him and his loser fish-talking powers. If you are seen speaking to him, you too may be ostracised and never score with Power Girl.]

That would make Flashman at the Charge the next one? Easily my favourite of the lot (though the sheer ludicrousness of the plot of Royal Flash - not to mention its unabashed theft - does much to recommend it.

In terms of spam guards, this has got to top some lists.

Of course, yours has just asked me to type 'myhfi' which sounds Welsh.

Hurrah! "osojrnrb"! That's just what I was saying to some fish the other day.

P.S. Hello Dave. Didn't you already marry Power Girl?

Well, yeah, but she must be retired or something because I can't convince her to wear her old costume.

(And is it just me, or are those damn swirly word verification letters just completely friggin' unreadable? I mean, that down there looks like 'audhfjsd', so I'm just gonna mash the keyboarda and hope for the best...)
