Don't Blame the Weatherman

Just in case there was any doubt that it's cold in Yokohama at the moment, here's the street outside our place at 6:30 tonight.

Brrr.

We're still waiting to see Narnia here. About another month I think until it arrives. The reviews have been what I'd expected, so I'm not holding my breath.

I haven't read those books for over ten years! You've got a frightfully good memory for details, little one.

We saw it in Albany, with Leila (Nola) and Sam (Mark), just a couple of weeks ago and we really loved it. I that thought the faun and all the kids were perfect but they got the lion wrong. Let me know when you've seen it; we can talk more about it then.

Cooool

I hadn't read the book, and I thought the story was good, the movie was very pretty. But also pretty slow in places. The slowness was anoying, but the movie was enjoyable.

I agree. It was very pretty. I seem to remember that Gray liked the slowness of the movie. I also thought that Tilda Swinton was to die for.
:~)
Pass me that turkish delight.

Yah, it's better than you might have been lead to believe (though most of the kids' acting is worse than you've probably heard). I didn't think it was too slow, but then I have read the book, so the pacing seemed about right.

Yeah, Aslan was too cuddly for my money.

I'll drink to the Aslan comments. He was not the lion/savior-figure I remember.
