Walking Dead vs Belly Dancing Transvestite

Went to a Turkish restaurant on Friday to celebrate my friend Kou's impending wedding.

Hilarity ensued.

Another Lost Weekend

Decided to see what this Lost craze is all about, and rented the first 3 DVDs. I enjoyed the 6 shows I saw. But the mystery of the island was too easily solved (minor spoilers):

Fact 1: They kill a polar bear on a tropical island.
Fact 2: If you're naughty, the island punishes you; if you're nice, you get something good.
Fact 3: It appears to be like Monster Island.

They have obviously stumbled upon Santa Claus' backdoor to Pellucidar. QED.

Also checked out X-Men: The Last Stand. Thoroughly enjoyed it. What I really liked was that even though I'd seen the preview, the movie retained a few surprises.

And like the also recently seen Superman Returns, I liked how X-Men: The Last Stand wasn't afraid to make big changes in the story.

Watch until after the credits.

Some Things Change

I'm back, in a manner of speaking.

My computer still doesn't work, but I must. Summer vacation is officially over, so to escape the job of marking over 200 speeches, I'm posting. It's good to have the internet back in my life, and even better that it's usage is restricted. Since I'm working, I can't spend hours watching previews for upcoming movies, or reading blogs of people I've never heard of. That's gotta be good for my usage of personal time. I can spend it on a more worthwhile activity like monster hunting.

I could regale you with my many PSP adventures over the last month or so I've been away, but maybe it's better to inform you that I've moved. I've left the big smoke of Yokohama for the even bigger smoke of Tokyo. Should you ever want to send me anything, such as a birthday Rolex, or a Xmas Aston Martin (just in time for Casino Royale!), then send me an email and I'll pass on my new address and phone number. A by product of the move is that I've now got floor space for freeloaders. Not much mind you, but it's there. Form an orderly queue and let me know well in advance you're coming. Japanese school holidays are the best time to catch me. Well actually, they are the only time.

Back to the bloody swath of the red pen.
